EMS Chair

A pelvic floor and core activation session using electromagnetic stimulation — done fully clothed, seated, and supervised. Each session delivers thousands of deep muscle contractions to support pelvic floor strength, bladder control, and core stability.

About the Therapy

EMS Chair is a pelvic floor–focused session. You sit on a specialised chair while it delivers electromagnetic stimulation that activates the pelvic floor and deep core muscles automatically — you stay fully clothed, and there are no internal devices.

This matters because the pelvic floor isn’t “just another muscle group.” It’s directly involved in:

  • bladder control (leaks when you cough, laugh, run, or sudden urgency)
  • support and stability in the pelvis and lower back
  • core function (how your deep muscles coordinate during movement)

Many people try Kegels and don’t get far — either the muscles don’t engage properly, or the effort isn’t consistent enough. EMS Chair gives those muscles a strong, repeated training stimulus in a controlled way, and results typically build with a course of sessions.

Who it’s for:

  • Women after pregnancy and birth
  • Anyone with mild to moderate bladder control concerns
  • Those who want stronger pelvic floor and deep core stability
  • Those who struggle to activate pelvic floor muscles with exercises alone

Key Benefits

  • Targets pelvic floor and deep core muscles with strong, controlled contractions
  • Supports muscle control and endurance over time
  • Helps support bladder control and continence (for appropriate cases)
  • Supports core stability and posture by activating deep stabilising muscles
  • Improves local circulation and tissue conditioning through repeated contractions
  • A discreet session: fully clothed, seated, no internal devices

What happens during your session

Session Duration: 30 minutes

Before Your Session:

  • Quick check-in: your goal, symptoms, and basic health screening
  • We explain what you’ll feel and how intensity is adjusted
  • You’ll be asked to wear light, comfortable clothing and remove metal items

During Your Session:

  • Step 1: You sit comfortably on the EMS Chair in a private room.
  • Step 2: The specialist selects settings and adjusts intensity to your comfort level.
  • Step 3: During the session, electromagnetic stimulation activates pelvic floor muscles, creating strong contractions (typically not painful). You can communicate throughout; we can adjust intensity at any moment.

After Your Session:

  • You can return to normal activities immediately
  • You may feel mild muscle activation or fatigue (similar to after exercise)
  • Results are cumulative — we may recommend a course for best outcomes (multi-session packages available)

Contraindications

EMS Chair is safe for many people, but it is NOT recommended if you:

  • are pregnant
  • have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device
  • have significant metal implants in the pelvic/hip area
  • have an active infection, acute inflammation, or severe pain in the pelvic area that needs medical evaluation first
  • have a condition where electromagnetic stimulation is not recommended by your clinician

If you’re unsure, we’ll clarify this during your consultation and recommend the safest option for your case.
